Absolutely no harassment, witch-hunting, sexism, racism, queerphobia, transphobia, or other hateful, discriminatory behaviour will be tolerated. Please let us know if you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unwelcome or unsafe.
Be for something
It’s fun to complain about what’s wrong, but ensure that you clearly communicate the positive vision you’re fighting toward. Calgary needs a political culture that is more critical, and less cynical.
We are a pan-partisan organization
Folks across or outside the political spectrum are welcomed to unite to improve our city. We uphold our ideas and values, and believe they spread furthest when communicated generously and accessibly. This is not a place for organizing toward partisan ends, or excluding political opposition.
Organize your topics appropriately
We want to encourage an active, connected, and organized community. To facilitate this, please give your topics (posts) descriptive titles and tags, and keep them in the right category!
Don’t compete, cooperate!
Do not use our platforms for disproportionate individual benefit. This includes the unauthorized use of others’ ideas or content, or non-reciprocal self-promotion without reciprocation.
Others may share project ideas that inspire you, or perhaps the very opposite. Be helpful, and generous. We’re all likelier to bring our ideas to life if we feel safe sharing them, and safe working together.
Practice reciprocation! Self-promotion is a-okay, just give us a shoutout too! Good faith, transparent sharing of knowledge only serves to make us more connected and engaged.
