I wanna say a quick congratulations to our good friend and co-founder Alex Williams for officially launching his campaign for Ward 11 Councillor! 
Some of you may have noticed Alex step back over the last few months to prepare for his campaign - he will remain a part of Unsprawling and volunteer with us in his personal capacity, but running for council is a time-consuming position indeed.
As such, we’ll need lots of support to grow and maintain our position in Calgary’s political media landscape over the next year.

Unsprawling is a pan-partisan organization that is driven by values above party or person. We welcome folks from across the political spectrum to work toward our common values of a more sustainable, productive, safe, and accessible Calgary.
Wear your affiliations proudly, communicate your ideas openly, and feel free to post updates or events where appropriate - just remember that a given member does not represent the organization as a whole.
As such, Unsprawling will not be endorsing candidates or parties in the upcoming municipal election (not even Alex!), but we highly encourage our members to do their own research, and engage to their fullest capacity in this critical city-shaping opportunity.
However, communicating urban politics to Calgarians is our organization’s core purpose - as such, we will take a fair, balanced approach to informing Calgarians about the candidates, and their positions on our important issues.
