Global Watersheds App (Map Tool)

I’m a big fan of this website — not super helpful in a strictly Calgary urban context, but I wanted to share it here for the fellow geography nerds.

Feel free to post your fun discoveries in the replies!

Did you know that there’s a small corner of Northeast Calgary that is so topologically separated from the rest of the city that water there will flow all the way to Saskatchewan before it meets the Bow River’s water?

Did you know that all the water from Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and even Fargo, Minnesota all flow to the same place?

Or that all of Southern B.C.'s water either flows to Vancouver… or Vancouver (WA)?
