You might want to have an introductions section that is pinned to the top, and encourages new members to “Tell us about yourself!”

We do have the Introductions subcategory, but I agree we need that communicated a little more clearly to people as they join for the first time.
We were looking into some theme components for a “front page” which would help for direction while people are new. The forum UX definitely has a learning curve to it that we should try to smooth out as much as possible.
I added a template for New Topics over at Introductions !!
We should all head over there and do our own tbh
