A Standing Policy Committee (often SPC) is a governmental body created by the active Procedure Bylaw, which describes the SPC’s mandate to receive and recommend decisions of Council regarding certain matters.
Currently, two SPCs exist under Calgary City Council — the Infrastructure Planning Committee, and Community Development Committee — each comprised of 7 Councillor members, and the Mayor.
